API keys: connect your tools

Generate the key that attributes API calls to your account, then revoke it when needed.

An API key lets the CLI, your continuous integration setup or your own application start audits with the account's access and allowances.

Generate a key

Select “Generate a key”.
Copy the complete value immediately: it will not be shown again.
Save it in the secret manager used by the tool that needs it.

Revoke or replace

Only one key can be active. Revoking it immediately stops calls that use it. If it is lost or exposed, revoke it, generate a new one and update every integration.

Never publish the key

Do not put a key in source code, a Git repository or a screenshot. The prefix displayed in the dashboard only helps identify the active key.
